About Margaritas & Mutts

HSFC's Signature Annual Fundraiser

Humane Society of Fremont County logoMargaritas & Mutts is the Humane Society of Fremont County's signature annual fundraiser — an afternoon celebrating compassion, community, and the animals who inspire us every single day. Formerly known as Rescue Runway, the event was reimagined with a fresh new format — same beloved cause, same incredible animals.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Rocky Mountains and the scenic Arkansas River, this event brings together supporters, animal lovers, and community members for a relaxed afternoon of great company, great food, and even better margaritas. All funds raised go directly to our emergency medical fund — ensuring every sick or injured animal that comes through our doors receives the care they deserve.

Every dollar raised helps us live out our mission: Where Every Life Matters. Together, we'll raise funds, raise spirits, and raise a toast to the animals who make our world brighter.

Other Ways To Help Us!

Every Contribution Helps

Humane Society of Fremont County needs your help! We provide vital services to animals in need in the Fremont and Custer County areas. We appreciate any help we can get, and thank you for supporting our mission to give these animals a second chance at life. Here is a list of ways people can help us:

    • Donate money online through our PayPal donation form or Venmo, or by sending a check or cash to our mailing address.
    • Sponsor a Shelter Cage and have your name or business displayed prominently on a large cage plaque for twelve calendar months.
    • Contribute needed items like postage stamps, dog and cat food, dry treats, towels, collars and leashes, and pet crates. You can also donate lightly used items that can be sold in our annual yard sale.
    • Donate a Kuranda bed through our Donate-a-Bed Program to provide clean and comfortable beds for our animals.
    • Shop at our retail shelter store and every purchase you make will benefit the animals we care for. You can find a wide variety of pet-related items, and if you adopt a cat or a dog, you will receive 10% off your entire retail purchase

One of their wonderful dogs rescued me. She was there for a long time and she got so much love and training. She came out of there a super dog. I know it was due to all the love she got there from the staff. My new dog will be a life long friend and she comes with a whole pack of people too. The crew at this shelter will have you wagging your tail for sure.

The staff at the Humane Society of Fremont County were very nice and helpful, the animal cages were clean, and there are so many animals looking for a new home. Please adopt, don't shop!

Found a pup near the Abbey and when I took her to the Humane Society of Fremont County to check for a chip they instantly remembered someone who called in about a dog with the same description. The woman immediately contacted the family so the dog could be returned. The staff were very professional and friendly during the whole process.
